Volcano Agate UV Reactive Polished Freeform BowlNodule 1.325 lb — Collector Display Specimen Lapidary Grade
This hefty black agate freeform weighs 1.325 lb(just over 1.3 lb) and presents a jet-black chalcedony core wrapped in warm tan, caramel, and cream banded matrix. The high-contrast patterning between the opaque black interior and the banded cortex is bold and immediate — the kind of specimen that draws the eye across a shelf.
A small druzy pocket inclusion breaks the polished surface with a flash of crystal texture, adding depth to an already striking piece. The exterior has been brought to a clean vitreous polish that lets the banding read clearly without obscuring the stone's natural freeform silhouette.
Agate is a trigonal microcrystalline quartz (chalcedony) that forms in nodules within volcanic and sedimentary host rock. The concentric banding visible in this specimen reflects successive silica-rich fluid infiltrations over geologic time. Grade assessed as high — suitable for collector display or lapidary reference.
One specimen, one of a kind. Weight: 1.325 lb(approximately 1.3 lb). Dimensions not specified; please refer to photos for scale.
