This golden tiger's eye palm stone was cut from South African rough and polished to a high-dome oval that locks the cat's-eye effect directly in your line of sight. The fibrous crocidolite replacement structure runs clean and tight, producing a strong, rolling band of light across the full face of the stone.

Color ranges from warm golden amber to deep chocolate-brown, with a distinct dark iron-oxide zone at the base that sharpens the contrast between the silky golden bands and the heavier, earthier tones beneath. The chatoyancy here is well above average for a palm stone at this size — defined, consistent, and visible in ordinary room light.

Cut and polished to collector grade. The high-dome profile maximizes the optical effect without sacrificing the hand-filling weight that makes a palm stone satisfying to hold. Banding is well-defined with good lateral symmetry.

Tiger's eye forms in metamorphic rock through the silicification of fibrous blue asbestos (crocidolite).
